Wow. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to take on a challenge and this one makes me really smile, because a good friend is due to have her baby boy in less than 2 weeks. I hope I can deliver the card before she delivers the little man. At least it is finished. So, let’s give it a look:
The Card Positioning System sketch, at first, did not inspire me…until I remembered the new Mint Motif Very Square stamps I just got, designed by my cute friend, Kimberly Crawford. I hadn’t had a chance to use them but once I came across them, after seeing the sketch…it came together. (Sometimes it just takes a shift in perspective to be inspired!)
Instructions
- Cut butter cream colored cardstock for a #10 envelope.
- Stamp Very Square dots stamp onto butter cream cardstock using Turquoise ink. {I stamped five images and chose the best four.}
- Trim close to the image and distress the edges.
- Using die templates from S4-261 Play Time set, emboss chipboard letter with the boat, car, duck and horse. One image per letter. Look how cute the duck and boat are…

- Add the chipboard letters to the polka dot blocks.
- Arrange the blocks onto a cardstock mat and add it to the card base.
- Add embellishments as shown, including: inked photo corners, turquoise bow, hand colored letter stickers, punch board heart and bow.

What other words can you imagine using the same technique? how about…LOVE, LIFE, GRAD…it’s endless.
Thanks CPS for a great sketch.
