It’s the season of parental celebrations, graduations, weddings…I created two easy and quick to make gifts.
You can see a quick tutorial about them over at the Cut Card Stock blog right here.
So, happy whatever!!

I guess wedding season is really all year but it does seem to go into overdrive in the Spring and continue through the summer. So I created a fun wedding card with Copic Markers featuring coloring and airbrushing and, of course, my favorite, Spellbinders die templates.
Go over to CutCardStock.com to see the products I used but you can also check out their blog for some how-to instructions.
Thanks for checking it out and see you soon. Eli
Just wanted to take a minute to share a tutorial I posted over at CutCardStock.com. It is a lovely Christmas Garland, “Joy to the World.” I chose to make it quite pale in white, cream and pink with just the right amount of bling. Go check it out HERE.
Ready for my close-up…
Have a fabulous day!!

Here is another installment in my application for The Shabby Tea Room Design Team. Check out the call here. And you can see my first project, an altered CD case, here. Both of the projects were inspired by a beautiful pink/black polka dot tea set.
This card was a much more artistic interpretation while the first project was more literal for me. Here is today’s installation!
When I create a “collage” look, I like to keep layering elements, moving them around, adding things, letting others go…until I’m happy with it and then I glue it all down. I know that may sound like “Duh!” but most of the time, when I’m creating, I start gluing things down so they don’t slide around and then get locked into a simpler design. So it takes some restraint on my part to create this kind of design. It is a good exercise for me.
Here’s one more look, a close-up, that shows some of the shimmer from the dusting of the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Ooh, la, la!!!
Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy New Year to all my creative friends and visitors!!
This week The Shabby Tea Room offered a darling inspiration of a shabby chic, pink baby room:
The parts that drew my attention were the polka dotted and striped accent pieces and the chair.
Here is what I created:
I want to crawl into this special place for a little nap. Ahhh.
Here is a close up so you can see some of the sparkley goodness on the card.
Important Stuff: Chair image (The Graphics Fairy), Polka Dot frame die template (Spellbinders), Chandelier stamp (Inkadinkado), Cathedral window embossing template (Paula Hallinan), Sketch Markers and Airbrush System (Copic)
Other Stuff: Natural Carstock, Clear glitter glue, Grey chalk ink
As the snow fell in Denver yesterday for the first time this season, I settled in to create a card. I had Thanksgiving in mind but the snow just wouldn’t get out of my head so here is what I created:
I wish you could see this in person…I used some beautiful metallics from CutCardStock.com: Cryogen White is a smooth cardstock in a creamy white with the most delicate shimmer. It was perfect for the snow-girl. The background, Lustre, is slightly textured and lusciously colored in metallic silver-gray.
The other part of the inspiration came from Card Positioning System’s sketch this week. The circle frames on the right reminded me of a snowman.

Today, it worked. Inspired by Color Throwdown #110:
I created this card:
This was so fun to put together. Layers of fun, I would say. I started with the card back, added a dark patterned pink paper. Then I added a strip of the pink paper stamped with Mint Motif’s Square. Next, I cut gray textured cardstock with S4-239, added the Classic Scalloped Borderabilities® Petite scalloped border to the middle and the outer pieces to the top and bottom of the strips. Finally, I cut/embossed/airbrushed S4-049 medallion (retired). To finish off the card, I added the medallion, ribbon and the stamped sentiment. I hope it inspires you today…
Thanks for looking and hope to see you soon!

A couple of days ago, I ran into some old friends and heard some sad news. I wanted to send them a card and today I had time to create. The color combination at Color Throwdown is perfect for a subtle yet elegant card. See what you think:
The second photo shows details in the card. Look at the yellow background. It is embossed with a Spellbinders Impressabilities template. Also, butterflies’ bodies have a sprinkling of brown Flower Soft. It gives the body dimension while keeping a natural look…it goes in the mail tomorrow.

I saw this color combination over at the Color Throwdown blog and it really reminded me of strawberries but for some reason (maybe the fact that I just got some new stamps, not including strawberries) when I put this little project together there were no strawberries. It’s funny how the brain begins in one place and ends in a totally different one.
Although I’m late to enter the challenge, I figured I might as well share with you all anyway.

And here are the papers and some of the other supplies I chose:
I had a mini clipboard hanging on my bulletin board above my craft table for some time…can’t even remember where I got it. I thought it would be a cute project (at least I hoped it would…you decide)
Want to make one? Here are some quick tips…
There are so many things you can do to decorate this little dude. Why not pick some up today and give it a whirl.

Although the Color Throwdown challenge blog is celebrating their 100th challenge. CONGRATS!!! It’s a first for me. I often visit but just never set my mind to it. Today was the beginning of something new, I loved it. Here is the challenge:
I gathered cardstocks and this is what I chose. (The lower right corner shows the pages for the guest book.)
I created a guest book for friends who are newly married and have a cute little apartment. I thought it would be fun for their marriage as they adventure through life.
This was fun to put together. I began cutting: rose background squares, red scalloped oval, celery oval, blue border…
To create the blue border, I first cut/embossed the s4-244 Fair Isle Borderabilities® Petite. Then I airbrushed through the stencil holes.
to get this…
I cut the border into four pieces… in half vertically and horizontally. I made two identical borders to go all the way around the 6×6″ square cover.
I used a long rectangular stamper from JustRite™ to stamp “WELCOME” in the celery oval. Then I stamped the friends stamp with a border onto the blue cardstock and cut/embossed it with the S4-194 Classic Inverted Scalloped Circles LG. I gave the ink a bit of sparkle with a blue glitter pen.
I adhered all the pieces, punched the coil holes, added the coil binding and finished it with ribbons. Voila! Gift is ready.
