Sometimes life deals you a hand that causes us to suffer. We lose someone we love. I created this card for someone who had lost a sister. She wanted an invitation to a remembrance party that she would share with family and friends.

I kept it subtle with muted tones of white with pink. The butterfly is a reminder of something after this life and the swirl that was cut out of the patterned paper gives the feeling of lifting up in to the heavens. The stamped sentiment “Invited to Remember” gives everyone a small anticipation of what’s inside.

So, life is not always easy but I think we find it comforting to be with those we love when we are in grief.

Important Stuff: Wizard and die templates–S4-121 Doodle Parts, S5-006 Curved Rectangles, S3-146 Butterflies 2 (Spellbinders Paper Arts); Pink metallic rub-ons (Craf-T), Bianco Exclusives cardstock (Prism); Letter stamps (Close to My Heart)
Other Stuff: Pink patterned paper, pink chalk ink
