Happy Spring (Caardvarks)

6 Mar

Caardvarks is offering a photo challenge over the next couple of weeks and it is a stunning picture that offers so many  items of inspiration.

I began with the colors as inspiration and the rest just flowed. The S4-104 Wreath die template (retired) from Spellbinders™ offered a delicately embossed, leafy wreath. After cutting and embossing, I stenciled the die cut with Copic markers and Airbush system. This gave the wreath a breathy, green appearance. I colored the ribbon with an orange Copic marker.

The photo inspiration also spoke to me of clean design. I added a polka dot, organza ribbon, the wreath and a stamped sentiment. A bit of glitter pen and an acrylic sticker to finished it off.

A couple of close-up images.

Important Stuff: Textured white cardstock (Prism);  G21 Lime Green,YR61 Yellowish Skin Pink Sketch markers, Mint Atyou Spica glitter pen (Copic); Vivid! Wild Lime die ink (Clearsnap); Sentiment stamp (Taylored Expressions);

Other Stuff: White “color copier” paper, organza ribbon

Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy this beautiful (nearly spring) day!
