Joining the Fantabulous Cricut challenge blog this week, I created a card using the Doodletype and Cindy Loo cartridge. The challenge, “Mom’s the Word,” was to include a mom word in a card for Mother’s Day. I have a fab mom and a wonderful Mother-in-law so I need two cards. This is the first:
One of my favorite color combos is pink and brown. I first chose the diamond/rose patterned paper that lies under the brown frame. Since the roses had a creamy sheen so I added a bit of a yellow underneath the letters and with the brown filigree. Things just came together from there.
Here is a close up of the medallion and flower.
Important Stuff
Papers Candelight Harlequin Roses, Rose Pink Fondant (Flair); Yellow (K&Co.)
Die Cuts Doodletype Font and Medallion Cindy Loo (Cricut)
Embellishments Mystical Mauve glitter (Sparkle and Sprinkle), Nut Brown sprinkles (Flower Soft), Quickie Glue (Sakura)
Other Stuff PVA glue, pink ribbon, silk flower, brown cardstock
